I woulda thunk you would have to lurk for longer than since August to express that opinion.

I am going to put a grievance into management first thing to complain about the quality of the trolls.

      Harumph.

The olden days were so much more fun.

I thought a forum belonged to the people who frequent it, 'management' just have certain rules they would like followed....Why is it 'managements' [the illusive 'they'] responsibility to liven the forums?

If you are more lurker than poster, you are contributing to the problem of less posts. Take some responsibility and post yourself, try something interesting, or witty, or useful.

Yup, had to reply, as you'll be lurking again in another guise no doubt, you can still read this

I'm more of a lurker than poster and I have a question please. What is a troll and why was the original poster banned? It seemed a politely put question. A little unfair from a lurkers point of view to pose I must admit as forums are lively due to the posts made and not the lurkers lurking. However, some of us lurkers are bashful ;-)

                    troll

the original post was from a serial lurker/troll

you can be as bashful as you like as long as you're enjoying yourself here it doesn't matter does it?

Soomai, this poster has already visited the forum on several occasions under different names. Their intention is merely to cause trouble, which is why they were banned. Please don't be bashful - join in the discussions.

Don't you just love that superscilious tone to the post? (I like the word, but unfortunately, can't spell it!)

Can I assume that the person concerned was banned for something other than what they originally posted as there post doen't seem to be particularily defamatory to me? Or had the email address they gave when signing on been used before by a banned individual?

My answer to the original question would be that gardening is seasonal so post numbers go up and down with the seasons!
