  • Quick help needed - black cupcake cases?

Has anyone seen some of these? I thought there would be plenty around, as it's approaching Halloween but I've had no joy at Lakeland or any of my usual shops. I've found lots online but I have left it a bit late for that (need them for this thursday!). If anyone has seen some in a supermarket or a High St chain, please let me know so I can dash out to our nearest branch tomorrow!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

I don't suppose very dark brown would do? Asda do a pack of muffin cases which have 30 odd dark brown ones, and 30 odd white? Or Morrisons might be worth a try, they've just started doing quite a big range of cup-cake bobbins, and had lots of different packs of cases. Can't remember if black featured in there though, sorry

Brown and/or orange would also be in keeping with the Halloween but I can't be useful in suggestion a shop which might sell them.

Thanks ladies! Dark brown might actually be better, as they're for zombie grave cupcakes (teenager's birthday, nuff said ). I can do Morrisons on the way home from the morning school run and if no joy there, can get D to call at Asda on his way over tomorrow

        Thanks again

Might seem like a really daft suggestion but how about dipping them in dark chocolate?

              I like that idea

The places I never think to look often have different cakey things...our Post Office and Hardware store both stock some unusual bits.(not sure about black cases and doubt you've got time to just pop to Ipswich...just a thought to try a few random places as well as the obvious.
              Good Luck with them

how about baking the cup cakes in regular cases then taking them off and using some suitably coloured icing/buttercream over the outsides.
