Husbands who don't drink that much as a rule, choosing my mates wedding to get absolutely plastered. You know the embarrassing old git who thinks he is a sex god on the dance floor?........................................

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

Life can be so unfair.
I have a friend who is finally responding to chemotherapy- only to hear today that another friend- aged 55 has just died of a heart attack.

3 hours to get to work, and being further away that you were when you were at home after 90 minutes, and having the window greyed out by the snow and the washers not working and not being able to see a thing and coming home early and freezing your bojangles off and having no feeling in your hands and feet and wishing you had just said 'sod it' when you heard the M1 was shut at 7am.
Sisters who would rather go on a six week cruise than attend a nephew's wedding that was booked months ago, and manages to make me feel bad about it. S*D OFF.
Gardening ..... begins with daybreak

The fact my office is so cold I can't work, and I've had to decant to another part of the building for the afternoon so I can get stuff done... however, can't access printing, half my shared folders etc.... argh! (and bbrrrrr!)
The bladdy foghorn!! Kept me awake last night and I can still hear it! It's not really loud, but it's one of those noises that you can't shut out once you hear it.
The school that suggests that as a school trip is part of the curriculum they will accept a VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION towards the trip that cost £12.
Now I know it is not alot of money but not being able to work for 3 years and hubby earns too much for any 'handouts' and of course being close to xmas with 3 kids £12 is a lot of money. So I take on board the VOLUNTARY CONTIBUTION bit and send the form back with no money enclosed...... (call me tight if you will)
The school then has the cheek to send it back, with my embarrased daughter, with NO MONEY ENCLOSED written all over it!
I am off now to take them a £5 as that is all I have.........

You have to loose sight of the shore sometimes to cross new oceans

£342 for a trip to barcalona for 4 days on a coach
When we had a Paris trip with college, I knew I could book it cheaper myself. I did a Net search for trains & hotels for me & a friend... we saved a packet, got a better hotel, got there quicker, and met up with the others as normal
My rant: dust bunnies. I spent 3 hrs yesterday vigorously vacuuming, but just found a huge dust bunny attached to the new clean duvet
