Car in for service. Apparently bracket on back of exhaust gone and needs replacing. But they don't do the bracket on it's own do they, you have to buy the whole back section for nearly two hundred quid. (Starts thinking must be possible to cobble summat together with a bean tin...)
Oh, and the classroom assistant at DD's school who lives nobbut quarter of a mile (if that) from school, along lovely little country lane with views of the sea, but drives there every morning. ???Life is brief and very fragile, do that which makes you happy.

eBay again
esp. their new star rating system, and their "customer service" team. I've been complaining about poor behaviour on the part of buyers, eg. not paying, not turning up to collect etc. Under the new (well, newish) rules, sellers cannot leave negative feedback for buyers, even the really bad ones.
I've been on live chat to eBay for an hour this morning, airing my grievances, and just get "manual training" talk in return, ie stock answers that don't answer the question
eg.
ME: "when I've had negative feedback I have been able to contact the buyer and discuss the problem. Quite often it's a fault on the part of the buyer - their audio equipment has been faulty but they've blamed the fault on my CDs, or they've had plants off me and killed them through ignorance, but blamed me
EBAY: silence
ME: As a result I am now using Freecycle or charity shops to dispose of my items, because eBay has become too bureaucratic and biased towards buyers
EBAY: silence
ME: I get emails from you saying I am "below standard" but you are unable to tell me exactly which items were below standard, as the star rating is anonymous - so how can I take steps to improve?
EBAY: I'm sorry for the delayed response. Moving on, please understand that we allow buyers to rate their buyers. We believe that if a seller have good ratings, more members will buy from them.

I'm certain that their 'live chat' is a computer - I got really ansty with it one day. These people actually want you to phone them, so they can screw you for the premium rate charge whilst you sit there like a lemon waiting for no-one to answer.
My Rant? Similar, actually; Trying to book a reservation on-line, with a booking system that does not work. Sending two emails so far, and getting no response, other than the automated 'Thank you for your email...' email. They want me to ring their premium rate number. Why the chuff should I? I WANT to do this on-line! Grumble, grumble, moan, moan, whinge....Last edited by Glutton4...; 08-04-2011, 09:21 AM.All the best - Glutton 4 Punishment

One of the managers here (and best friend with the Vice President) telling me when I do my job and point something out to him that's gone wrong that this is nonsense and a waste of company time.http://onegardenersadventures.blogspot.com/ updated 10-03-2010 with homebrew pics & allotment pics

Glorious weekend in prospect, lots that needs doing in the garden, especially grass cutting and because of some bladdy virus I feel as weak as a kitten and it takes all my energy to just walk outside & sit in the sunshine. Not a happy bunny. There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't.
