  • Eclipse tonight

There is an elipse of the moon in process right now

Apparently it's going to be a full one

    Take a look - it's lovely
Save the earth - it's the only planet with chocolate

I posted on the 'moon gardening thread' last night - "LOL! just been out to look at the eclipse....and the OH looks at me after hearing a noise and says 'was that your stomach?'.....huh! it sounds just like Paul Mac's Frog Chorus, there appears to be canoodling going on in next doors pond!

Not sure which was more fun, the eclipse or the frogs. "

We were well imprseed with both occurences. The stars also seemed extra bright and there were a few shooting stars about.

But do you know that if you are 'moon gardening' because of the Eclipse you should NOT garden this morning, or so my French Lunar diary says.

Just might be forced to be 'domestic'

Th eclipse was spectacular - we had a really clear night and took the dog out for an extra long walk and watched the moon disappear bt by bit and turn red - the last time I saw this happen I was about 8 years old and my brother and I were obsessed by the stars and moon and anything to do with the heavens - I thought it was amazing then and age hasn't tainted my amazement.

We'd been out for the evening & stopped the car in a quiet, dark, country lane on the way home & got out & watched the eclipse. We could hear a pheasant calling in the field & see 'Orion' & the 'Plough' & other vaguely familiar stars in the clear sky & saw the moon change to what looked like a large soft orangey-pink ball, it really was surreal & lovely!
