        Hi all,Thanks
Im like a child at christmas...This is the blurb...

Northern Lights cruise to Norway. Travelling from Bergen in the South to Kirkenes in the north, the prize includes flights and a thrilling husky dog sledge ride. Visit 34 ports along the spectacular, unspoilt Norwegian coast and hopefully experience the phenomenon of the Aurora Borealis – the Northern Lights. Other highlights include Hammerfest – the world's most northerly town, crossing the Arctic Circle, visits to Tromso and Trondheim plus many more.
There is no better way to experience the Northern Lights than by sailing through the sheltered coastal waters, on board a ship from the Hurtigruten fleet as the Northern Lights are set against a dark sky, free from artificial light. In the winter a range of itineraries are available that combine a trip on the Hurtigruten with activities such as dog sledging or staying in an ice hotel. On many of the trips, the ship travels above the Arctic Circle, where the chances of seeing the Northern Lights are even higher.

I still cant quite believe it,the company are contacting me soon to arrange everything, not sure when to go though,I can go anytime from now till the end of March, its my 30th birthday on November so I may go then.
Have told my mam to dust off her passport as Im taking her with me

P.S- I hope my luck continues and rubs off on you all, especially as its 82 million on tonights lotto

That's lovely SG - I am sooooo envious. I've heard, from friends who also Cruised out that way, that Norway is very very expensive, but, if the Cruise is free, I guess that won't matter!

            Still jealous!

What a wonderful prize to win - truly an experience of a lifetime.

I know the Northern Lights cannot always guarantee a 'performance' but if you saw the Joanna Lumley program about same - I'll never forget the look of wonderment on her face as they gave of their best.

What a lovely thing to take your Mum with you - Hope you both have a wonderful time - that shouldn't be too difficult! - we'll be expecting lots of pics and stories after you've been.

                    Enjoy and Many Congrats.

Lucky, lucky, lucky you!! We did that trip a couple of years back for my 50th and it was truly awesome! We went in December and chose a cruise that would coincide with not too much moon to give ourselves the best chance and we were lucky enough to see them - I cried, I laughed and kept shouting it really was a dream come true! Luckily as the weather was quite bad we had the deck to ourselves!! When I watched the Joanna Lumley programme I cried all over again! It's an amazing trip and I loved every moment.
Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!

To be honest Im taking my mam just to see her on the dog sled...I think it may be one of the funniest things I'll ever see!
I picked up the brochure yesterday ,to get a better idea of what it'll be like...now I really cant wait!...Im going to vistit an ice hotel too...my mam thought I said we were going to a nice hotel
My brother said I could borrow his camera...its a super duper thing...he took a picture of a bee on a flower,I swear you can see the bee's eyebrows,so yep I'll put pictures on.
I was down my nan's yeasterday and she told me she went to Norway when she was 3 (1926) and remembers the coins having holes in and people would have the money on threads round their necks
...and Bergen is where her father was captured during the WW2 after a farmer got drunk and was boasting about hiding an English man,he was a POW for 3 years.
So this prize is not only a great holiday but I learnt a bit more about my family history
