A French word meaning "hat."
But it's also used as a term of respect for feats of derring-do.
So I would like to say "Chapeau" to every lady Vinette who has worn stilleto heels and can still walk.
Saturday night was my sons 30th birthday, theme was films 80's/90's and I went as Whoopi Goldberg in Sister Act. Doing my homework I noticed that she wore red stilleto heels, so I popped to a charity shop and bought some.
Not many size 9's about but did find a pair of size 8's which I shimmied into.
Mme Pastis was bent in 2 watching me trying to walk up and down the shop in them, not easy.
Spent the whole night in said footwear, was in agony most of the night and even now, back home in France, I have a bad back, sore thighs and no sensation in the big toe of my right foot.
How do you laydeez wear such tortuous things?
CHAPEAU!!
