  • AMAZING !! But no camera

Yesterday I saw two, what I now know as Shaggy Ink Cap, following lots of gooogling.
Was brilliant to see but I regret not having my camera with me.

What have you seen and regret not getting a photograph of?

They are delicious. They grow near where we used to live. I got many an odd stare when picking them and also was advised that they were poisonous by those who thought they knew better.

Sorry, I know that's not what you really mean! I try & remember to take my camera everywhere with me so I don't miss many photos nowadays but I do sometimes go 'Oh I wish I'd got my camera' when we've gone out shopping or visiting somewhere & I spot something by the road on the way, in fields etc., cute horses, boxing hares, giant puffball fungi, fields of poppies, but as some of them are at the side of the motorway I doubt my O.H. would stop the car anyway!

With you there HF. My moby takes fab piccies, and video. My Camera is now redundant!

Before I had this phone, I used to take my camera with me everywhere. One day, trying to lighten the weight of my handbag, I took it out, saying to Mr. G. that I wouldn't be needing it, as we were only going to the Farmers' Market. On the way there, we passed a field of Herons! Yes, that's right, TWELVE Herons, all standing together in a field, beside the road. It would've been a fantastic picture. I was GUTTED!

I have a Nokia 5800 ExpressMusic. It was a free upgrade over a year ago, has enough memory for sufficient music to sing along to when I'm working on my own. I love it. It also has a million 'useful' features that I've never bothered about, coz I don't need them.

Yesterday, sitting out on the patio with a coffee, a greenfinch came down to nibble sunflower seeds out of the flower growing about 10 feet. No, didn't have camera....
