My nan used to make a 'pie' with meat and veg, and on the top the pastry was like a non-sweet crumble, or a fluffy dumpling, but with a crisp top surface. It was about an inch thick. Very light, not heavy textured. Does anyone know how to make this please? thank you

Hugh FW did something similar to this last night on tv. It should be on CH4 catch up, or whatever it's called.
A 4 root veg crumbly type thing, I think it had bread crumbs on top.
Not exactly what you are looking for I think, but may give you ideas."Orinoco was a fat lazy Womble"
Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.
