Getting the kids involved. I'm all for encouraging young people to get into growing good stuff. My lot (at work) just love the hospice garden.

Latest update on "What is your primary motivation for gardening?" adding in Nicos and Zebedee's latest ideas...
                  • to produce healthy organic food that can be trusted
                  • to feel closer to nature and its cycles, seasons and weather
                  • to relieve stress
                  • as a working meditation
                  • for the fun of it
                  • for the physical exercise
                  • to have acces to locally produced quality food
                  • a sense of achievement
                  • sense of community (likeminded social interaction)
                  • just love dirt
                  • refuge (peace and quiet)
                  • to create the environment I live in
                  • taste ( Ia ssume that means tastier food)
                  • physical exercise
                  • reduction in carbon footprint
                  • fun
                  • something we can do together

                  • encouraging wildlife
                  • therapy for depression
                  • engaging children and young people

No - I really am genuinely interested. This connection stuff really interests me. Half the time mates look at me like I'm mad. Had a few whiskies last night with 3 friends and they are genuinely worried about me - "you were blogging about the spirituality of vegetable gardening?"

I'm enjoying compiling the list, and I hope others are enjoying seeing it. Maybe I'll think about categorising it.

I know you started this thread SBP, are you OK with how its progressing. I'm a teacher so I have the tendency to take over!!!! Sorry.
