That's really good news, they weren't expecting them to be home before Christmas so double

Apparently they've just sent some sunglasses, I hadn't thought of that but their eyes won't be used to daylight will they!

It is great news. Those poor gentlemen - I cant even imagine how awful it must be.
I was somewhat shocked at the a news clip I saw yesterday though- talk about make a show of it....public / media viewing areas have been made, family viewing areas made, helipads...this an that- it all seemed wrong to me, rejoice in their freedom, please don't turn it into a media circus. Have to say the news clip made me a little angry almost and certainly sad that they have taken this route.

Can you imagine being the last one left down there waiting? It makes me shudder at the thought.

Coming out after all this time will be traumatic enough without the worlds media there. They will need the sunglasses not only for coming out into day light, but also for all the camera flashes. Bless them

I read in a gardening mag that once the miners are out the local garden centre are going to fill the bore hole with compost and put a few seeds in to try and break the world record for the longest carrot
