I guess so, there's no ingredient list on the box

EDIT: Reading back I see you have a gap approx 25mm at it`s thickest,...,sharp sand however can be used upto 75mm in a single layer
    That's useful to know, thanks

Ah, I have some gravel already, just need some sharp sand then.

The box says it's suitable as it is though, it doesn't say to add anything

Oh a new to me polycell product I would say it is premixed soft washed sand & rapid set cement so good to go straight from the box.
It is important to damp down the area before application or the water will be drawn from the mix too quickly resulting in a poor (if any) bond & cracking of the fillet.
Use clean tap water for mixing not water from a rainwater butt as the impurities will retard the setting time & may well affect the final strength.
The bit most people dont think of until too late,it will also set on your tools & bucket in 10 mins

I would go with the expanding foam.

You haven't seen the mess that the last lot of expanding foam made !

the box is just a repair cement (mainly for touching up small areas) you need an ordinary portland cement next to the sand in the builders section of the local merchants

Wilkinsons had that too, but it was too heavy to get home on my bike

you might get away with the box you have and the aggregate if you mix it a little at a time and just do small areas as it will dry out extremely quickly..

the worst that can happen is that it will crack out and if so you can just knock it away and start again with the correct concrete mix

                  good luck

That's what's happening to our brick wall: the mortar is all falling out, I think I'll do that while I'm at it.

Thanks for all your help (here's hoping the weekend stays dry)

now that i have found and viewed the pics it makes a lot more sense.

you could still go with the concrete but i think it would crack out through time as the metal sides will have a bit of movement in hot/cold weather.

i would most likely fit a timber(pressure treated) skirting inside and out 100mm x 25mm fencing board will do bolted through the gap with packers to keep it straight and ideally fixed to the GH wall with self tapping screws and sealed along the top edge with a clear silicone sealant this way the timber will move with the expansion and contraction of the metal
