Hi there chillie girl and welcome. Have fun, hopefully you'll get some good info and advice, moral (!) support and lots of laughs. If not I shall not be held responsible.

Hi chilligirl welcome to the madhouse! I reckon you should add a few spuds to your list - some nice salad ones?

Hazel - easy peasy is in the eye of the beholder! Spring onion....never got 'em to grow yet!

I think you'll manage fine with that list Chillie Girl. No courgettes or squash ?
How are you going to grow your corn and what variety. We're running a bit of a trial here on the Vine under the heading 3 Sisters, by growing corn, beans and squash in the same bed. It started out to see how far north corn could be grown, but lots of grapes have joined in, so that's good. Want to join us in it. I'll be growing Swift in my 3 sisters bed, and some mini corn elsewhere - so hopefully I'll have some success.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Alice, my wifey and I are thinking of trying the '3 sisters' thing. Sounds really interesting. I understand it is a Caribbean thing, is that right? Anyone?

It was Native Americans that first grew the Three Sisters way.
