          Hi everyne,

          I am going to grow my sweetcorn in troughs. i have limited space in my garden. I cant remember the name of it (how good am I) it is ????? Extra Sweet. Maybe one of you will know it, when I see it I will remember.

            Sbp - I can't get spring onions to come good for me either - everything else seems to flourish but scallions - not a hope !!!

                I know SW, we plotted and planned last year, but still nothing - trying a few in containers atm....we'll see.

                  Hello Rat, I grow my spring onions in containers. Just sow them thinly in rows and up they come. If they won't grow in the ground for you (aren't plants a mystery!) maybe you could try them that way. You should get enough for a small household.

                    I tried them outdoors and in the greenhouse as you suggest, but to no avail - neither in the ground nor in containers - and it's so annoying as I love champ !
