I remember going to see the Black Hole at the cinema. Didn't go to see films that much. Also recall seeing Lovebug.

I recorded onto vhs Bednobs and Broomsticks!

I have the Mary Poppins LP - back cover can be cut out to make a mobile (one you hang, not phone from). At uni (freshers' week), I couldn't rescue the LP of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - was too shy to go up!

The science technician at my old secondary school did the bus thing around Europe - then Cliff Richard and co contacted them and then made the film!

      The Sound of Music

And I've had a thing for Julie Andrews ever since.

First film I paid to see was Star Wars as a kid and it blew me away, "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." and that huge spaceship coming over your head to slowly fill the whole screen - magic...

... if only Julie had been at the helm.

First film I know I was taken to see was Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, but I cant really remember it, as I was only about 2 or 3 years old!

First film I can remember was either Bedknobs n Broomsticks or the Wizzard of Oz, both seen on telly.

Love the Sound of Music, loved going to see Star Wars at the piccies, loved Watership Down at the piccies (10th Birthday treat to go and see it), remember being taken by my Nan to the piccys to see Jaws 2 (first and only time she ever took us to the flix), loved Alien at the piccies!

Films that have had a lasting impression, Schindlers List (makes me cry a lot), Beaches (ditto), Watership Down (ditto), Braveheart (ditto), Titanic (ditto), Gladiator (ditto) any of the Monty Python films, Airplane, Flight of the Intruder, Platoon, The Ninth Gate (brill Johnny Depp film) and many more besides!

                Great film......

Its odd they make loads of crap films:
                Police Academy 1-9
                Rocky 1 2 3 4 5
                Jaws 1 2 3d
Then you get a great film like Schindlers List....wheres the sequel to that..there is just no justice.

star wars, my dad wanted to see it and mum wouldn't go

The first film I went to myself was deperately seeking susan, My friends and I were only 13 and terrified we were going to be turned away (it was a 15 cert ) I can still feel the excitement we felt back then.

I still love the cinema, and theatre, and take my children as often as I can afford.
