Honesty from a politician?
In the GE Osborne was honest about spending cuts and the Tory poll share promptly dived 5%..
People don't like the truth when it's bad news.
Edit
If you want honesty and telling it as he sees it: see Frank Field.
The Labour Party largely hate him...as he says benfits are too high, workshy culture, state too big etc...Last edited by Madasafish; 20-10-2010, 02:57 PM.

Personally I don't care a tinkers cuss who is in so called power. Doctrines have nothing to do with it. There never will be the cure all. Given the circumstances it is always trial and error. Just compare our lot with other so called democratic nations. I sure know what side my bread is buttered.

Given the circumstances it's a miracle we got the NHS.(which the B****Y yanks did not like )The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

Once again 1951 labour left the country in deep doo doo and the tories had to sort out the problem, The pound was once the trading currency of the world, to keep its promise of a NHS and borrow enough money from the yanks to start it labour gave the whip hand to the yanks that is why oil, gold and most other thing are traded in dollars

The blame on our "money problems" goes back to when W S Churchill put us back on the gold standard & don't forget he was a Liberal at one time.Last edited by bubblewrap; 20-10-2010, 06:36 PM.The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.
