I do apologise, that last post about peeing in the car park was NOT me! Trousers retrieved my PMs for me and then forgot to log in as 'himself'....
Having been there securing the patch 'early doors' for three years running now, I know the Car Park 'Marshalls' that are normally on duty, so we could secure a little spot on the Sunday for sufficient cars to park together in a group to make life easier for those who hold their hands up as definitely going.
Sunday is the only day we could go, as Trousers and I are at a Wedding (not ours!) the day before, where I'll have decorated their wedding cake (scarey!!!!) so we'll probably be a little worse for wear on the Sunday, but hey! "Avoid Hangovers, Stay Drunk" comes to mind....
It would seem sensible, this far ahead of the game, that when peeps have decided that they're going, to liaise with Pigletwillie re what they'd like to make/take for the picnic, if anything, because it's in no way obligatory? Would that be a good plan? And I mean 'openly' on the forum, not privately, or no-one else would know, and then we'd ALL take Rhubarb Schnapps and Road Kill Quiche. THEN we'd be in trouble...!

Mazel bee, Good wishes and happy thoughts to you and yours. I truly hope it is the best day of your life.
Apologies to the Malvern set - it's a bit far for me to drive these days, even though the car has not yet been sold
Hope you all have a great time. We will be there in spirit.

Hazel, Cheese Straws - my favourite! Please bring some. They go great with a cold glass of Pinot Grigio, and Trousers will be driving, so no cordial for me thanks!
Lesley, why don't you and LJ come? Loads of time between now and then for your knee to heal, and I'm sure The Boys of the group would like to see their Peastick-wielding Beauty 'in the flesh'.....!
*Serious Warning to All Grapes who decide to turn up to The Malvern Spring Show: WELLIE SAYS TAKE YOUR WELLIES !!!! The showground gets very muddy, especially when it tips it down, so best take waterproof jackets in the car as well, eh?! Normally, the weather is really lovely and sunny.
(I burnt my chesticles one year...! which made Trousers larf).
Just for the record, we'll be taking a kettle, something to boil it on, teabags, sugar, sweetners, milk and coffee. Nearer the time, once everyone else has decided what to bring etc. we'll decide on a contribution then to fill in a gap or two.

If you get stuck in the mud at this particular Malvern Show Hazel, I will personally pull you out with my Chelsea Tractor, just to prove that 4by4s have a perfectly plausible role in the country, as opposed to city life taking kids to school that are perfectly capable of walking on their own two feet.

Well Iv'e thought it through and tried to juggle work but I cant make it ( I can hear the sighs of releif). Hope all the grapes who do go have a wonderfull time and someone remember to take photographs for those of us who cant be there.Last edited by beefy; 07-03-2007, 11:47 PM.There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.
