  • Whoop Wooo...New Job.

Thought I'd share mi good news with everyone, the lad's & lasses on the chat thread have already heard.

After being made redundant 18 months ago from mi last job & being unemployed for what seems a lifetime. I finally landed mi self a job working for the D.W.P (Department for works and pensions). I've had to retrain, but it's finally paid off
I start on Monday at 7.30 (First day only) rest of the time it'll be 8, the hours are fantastic 8-3.30 Mon to Thurs & 8-1.30 on Fridays...and no weekends . To say I'm rather chuffed with mi self is the understatement of the year.

So if there's anyone out there who's facing redundancy, lost there job or who are looking for work...don't give up, don't get dis-heartened...it will happen.xx

    Well done GN.

I agree - being made redundant is a pain in the butt; but it makes you relook at yourself and the skills that you have on offer.

It also makes you realise what you DON'T want to do - I did a course in SAGE when I was on the dole and I never ever want to do that again!

Well done Ginger. A lesson to us facing redundancy to stay optimistic! I do hope your new job is rewarding and exciting as well, not just something you have to drag yourself to every day! And fingers crossed that you get fantastic colleagues to work with as a bonus.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Soooo true Zaz, I was going to do a course on SAGE50. Apparently it's not just the number crunching one there's a little more admin involved, but I didn't get a start date to do it.
