Hope you enjoy it: I'll be at work
Off-subject a bit, but still talking about Edwardians, did anyone see 'The Edwardian High Street' last night? I caught the second half of it, switching on just in time to see a selection of lovely old veteran bicycles, another interest of mine, one with a beautiful old carbide lamp on the front. I got hold of one of those once, and set it up and lit it, but it was leaky, and the acetylene gas leaked out of the sides, and when I lit it, the whole caboodle burst into flames. I nearly burnt the house down!
Generally, the half of the programme I saw was fascinating, even if Greg Wossname does irritate the hell out of me. Fortunately, he was only on briefly, at the end.Last edited by StephenH; 10-11-2010, 10:08 AM.

Now, see, I can't stand this gang - especialy the lady's presentation. And yet I happily watch Giles Coren and Sue Perkins pratting around in the 70s.
Good job we're not all the same.
Anyway, tonight is our village Book Club. (Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese - I can highly recommed it.)Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
