As long as it's not poached egg & crumpets which I ended up with last year as O.H. was in bed with a nasty stomach bug I don't mind! We may have something like veg. or prawn curry or even 'Christmas' veg. etc. with quorn chicken for me & a turkey joint for O.H. or we might just go out for a long walk & take butties, depends on the weather & the mood.
Never been to Birmingham Christmas markets Piskie but the Manchester ones are great.Into every life a little rain must fall.

We'll be having pancakes, nachos and chili as usual. And we are currently deciding which pudding to make...last year I made Bakewell tart and Mr Z was chuffed to bits with it - so got to top it this year. The year before it was Treacle Tart.....so I'm guessing a tart of some description!
And the woodburner will be on the go - I'm just chopping and sawing all the logs this week in preparation as it happens.

I have ordered a stuffed crown from our local butchers. This way nothing goes to waste.

Wellll...just to excite your palate we will be having an unused frozen turkey from last year. Prepared with skill and served with any cheap veg I can lay my hands on. My tastebuds have been encouraged and tempted beyond endurance over the past decades. Less is more in my world.

Our Christmas lunch is called "Brother" unless someone wants him for breeding. He is an ordered and then unwanted Indian Game cockerel who follows me around the garden and feeds from my hand.
I keep in mind the fact that he has fed well on blackberries, strawberries and most of my grapes and has had the happiest of lives.
If anyone wants him he is free to a good home.
