Stocking ideas

Sorry, folks, I know it's only Nov 12th but i need some inspiration (*ducks).
What do you lots do for stocking fillers?
I mean, they're supposed to be cheep and cheeful, right? Just a bit of fun?
I just don't want to spend a fortune on stuff thats not gonna get looked at past boxing day!
George is nearly 12 now and Rose is 8.
Any ideas gratefully recieved!

For my daughter (12) - wash in wash out hair dye, the individual hot chocolate sachets from the supermarket, lip balm, other sweets she says she wants throughout the year that I say no to, pens/pencils for school, makeup, bath bits and hair bits. And a satsuma (to her horror!)

My son (4) likes bubblebath and bath toys, sweets (and a satsuma - which he likes!) and I make oh do the rest for him!

I like lots of little pressies for stockings and sometimes open packets and split the contents to make it more fun!

We are downsizing stockings this year. This has to be done every now and then as they seem to get out of hand!

Son 13 is getting socks, smellies (well needed!) book, sweets, small build your own plane kit (from hawkins bazaar, great shop for little ideas) pj's, packet of nuts..... and the rest im struggling with

Daughter 9 is getting smellies, hair bits, sweets, general girly bits, pj's, underwear, hat gloves scarf, she is easy!

Daughter 2, well this is tricky cos all little peoples toys are expensive as they have to be well made, so once again pj's, hat gloves scarf, chocolate (not sweets), vests, teddy!...... anymore suggestions great received!!!

so stressful, I hate it!

I've just discovered Hawkin's Bazaar - great for stocking fillers.

Now my kids are older ( boys aged 23 to 31 ) it gets harder, I always try and get small things that they will use like smellies, socks, etc. I dont put in as much as when they were small but they do appreciate the little things, they get one biggish present each. Last year one had a food hamper that I made up with everyday tins, packets etc. Instead of a stocking I get a smallish bag and wrap everything up and put in. Three of them have girlfriends and I have my daughter and one grandson the older ones get the same sort of thing, the girls like smellies, make up remover, make up, shower gel, cotton wool, hair accesories, and sweets. Last year I didnt get them any Pringles and I got told off lol so this year I must get them.
Father Christmas always leaves a stocking here for my grandson.

The website presentsformen has some good and inexpensive things - not just for men, either.
I got a ball that bounces on water - live at the seaside - and a ketchup bottle top in the shape of a vampire head. So when you sqeeze, the sauce comes out of his fangs.....well it made me laugh. Those will go to son in law and grandson.... travel games can be good - pass the pig etc.

My daughter whose 7 is the only one who has a stocking!!My other two (24 and 19) are a bit old now and my eldest doesnt live with me anyway...so her partner can sort that out!!
Anyway I get my 7 year old various little treats, such as hair bobbles etc, lush soap, glittery pens..etc, and if I find something in a charity shop, then that goes in too. I will probably put some sweets in, as she only gets them occasionally. (She likes those kinder eggs)
� shop is the best place for inspiration!! Hawkins Bazaar are great, but seem rather expensive to me.

I love Hawkins too but I've been buying from them for a few years now.
Usually my kids get...
Bathbombs (homemade if I get time)
Toothbrush (is that mean?)
Sweets
a book
age appropriate toys, magic tricks, trinkets etc.

Never mind a tangerine, I might put in agrapefruit, that'll take up a bit of room......or a watermelon!!!!

I've just discovered Hawkin's Bazaar - great for stocking fillers.

Hawkin's Bazaar opened a shop in our town centre around this time last year, we we got lots of things for our sons (Luis aged 5) stocking from there only to take most of them back as they ether fell to bits or were just very poorly made. The shop closed 3 weeks later, don't know if it was just bad stock or what but we'll not be buying anything from a Hawkin's Bazaar store again, his face as one thing after another fell to bits wasn't good ...
