      We do the norfolk to leeds run a fair bit. Not too bad, tend to do it via A17 though, averages 4 and a half hours usually, leeds to stalham. Worst bit is the flat lincolshire bit that smells of sprouts!!

            so, because people are (kindly) asking after my results: in a nutshell, my left shoulder is totally f++ked, and the best surgeon in the land (apparently) isn't able to re-operate on it because the radiotherapy has damaged the muscle & skin too much.

            It is likely to get worse over the years, leading to loss of use of my left hand eventually.

            In the meantime, I am to do LOTS of physio on the tiny little muscles that remain in my shoulder & back, to slow down the collapse of my left shoulder into my collar bone

            For the constant pain I'm in, I am advised to get stuck into the gin (no, I lied about that bit, but it sounds like a plan)

                  Eep! Sorry to hear that.. sounds like a good excuse to get the OH interested in gardening (if he isn't already) though. Gin? *shudder*, I'll clink an empty glass though!
