jolly cold today- whats for dinner?

it's jolly cold here today, and i am looking forward to a nice hot dinner, for when i get in again. we are having trad. sunday roast beef dinner, and a peach crumble for after. just wondering what you all are having?

That's how we felt yesterday so I defrosted a steak and kidney pie we'd brought back with us - for emergencies! ( lasted 4 days in the freezer)

I fancy a roast this evening too.

Peach crumble???mmmmmmyummy yum!...Looks like my OH is making a pear and hazelnut tart...I just fancy a bit of custard with that!!

Usual sunday here sandwich for lunch but cooked tea OH cooks at weekends so no idea what he will do. As he is vegetarian it will more than likely be Pasta veg and garlic bread.

Roast pork loin here with roast spuds, garlic, onions and carrots and steamed 'depends what I fancy in the shops in a wee while' veggies Afters will be apple and cinnamon pie (american style) and/or Eton mess

Think I'll do my own version of a jambalaya, with chorizo, seafood and home grown chillies, peppers and peas. Yum.

Dad blew us out for lunch, (Grand Prix is on!) so will have it tonight

First we have spiced butternut squash soup.
For after big bro is having a baked sausage and cabbage casserole (Tamasin Day Lewis recipe) and I'm having polos while driving.

Having Hugh's rabbit and tomato stew with some spelt bread and steamed cabbage, followed by either baked apples or lemon sponge pudding.....yum!!

Mr TS is at work till 7pm, so I won't eat till then (jacket spud & cheese I expect). We rarely have a Sunday Dinner, as he is usually driving round Suffolk Sat & Sunday to see his daughter (50 mile round trip)

Dunno. Sister's turn to make Sunday Dinner. We eat about 5.30. I did last week's - home made steak pie. Today I'm making the pud to take round there - apple crumble from next door's big fat bramley windfalls!

nicos-- peach crumble is easy, fast, and cheap. i just tip a can of peaches into an pie dish, top it with homemade crumble, and top with vanilla ice cream or custard.

my mouth is just watering reading all of your menus.

Lamb chops (usually too expensive, but 'reduced for quick sale' is nice), roasted peppers and mushrooms, boiled spuds (if I can find any in the garden), melon (plain) for afters.

KK is making chicken biryani and vegetable curry and I will be making puris. First attempt after attending an Indian cookery course so goodness knows how they will turn out!

Kale, carrots and sprouts picked from the lottie about an hour ago.

Mr. G will be roasting a boned, rolled leg of Pork. We will have Roast spuds, yorkies with our Hens' eggs, and various vegetables. Following that, probably Jamaica Ginger Cake and Custard! He'll then have a couple of antacid tablets!
