The OU do a short Welsh course Wellie, I'm 3 weeks in and really enjoying it. Have the CDs loaded onto my phone and listen to them while walking the dog. Still can't quite do the back of the throat 'ch' sound very well (and it gets me some very odd looks if I walk past somebody while practising!) but so far I can count to ten, name the days of the week, say my name, where I live and what I do and am just starting on family now

Actually OverWyreGrower, I must correct you, because that would be POLICE and SLOW, rather than Police and Stop, and therefore, Wellie possibly hasn't been as naughty a girl as you might have thought in the first instance, so I think you owe me an apology. Bended knee and a bag of Jelly Babies should do it, and Trousers will say no more about it if you don't yourself.....
Personally, I just like to listen to Ken Bruce on Radio Two and learn Welsh from his Traffic Tottie, because she pronounces those Welsh Towns and Villages SO beautifully that I couldn't perfectly better it if I tried.
