Thanks PN... still wondering if doing the eurotunnel plus a 5hr drive might be better from Mr OWG's point of view (i.e. no boats!)....
There are 2 new ferries from Plymouth and they are HUGE! You'd have to have a bad phobia to be scared being on one of those. They've happily got rid of the old one that used to make 95% of the passangers puke
Re campsites/b+b's etc I will doing my admin on that next week, somewhat busy up in the loft currently.
Once the list is compiled fully I will post it on here.

Life's disappointments are so much harder to take if you don't know any swear words.
Thank you Bob, no probs - I'm sure I've missed congratulating a few MOM's too
Glad to hear that you are home even if it doesn't mean that you are making a palace for us lot in your attic. 'spect Mme Pastis has already picked out the curtains
I am imagining a big heart shaped bed with drapes hanging from the ceiling, an en suite jacuzzi, big flat screen built in to the wall..... am I close?

We would be arriving on the way back from Spain, probably teatime-ish on the Friday, and heading for an overnight boat on the Monday.
I would recommend crossing overnight for those who don't 'do' boats well. Britany Ferries have decent cabins that are not too expensive, and you simply sleep away the bother.
BTW, I do a pretty good paella (my own version, not exactly like any of the thousands of variants you might get in Spain) and while I have not yet tested the idea, I am confident of being able to do a paella-inspired vegetarian dish if anyone would like me to try. I can certainly do a 'Spanish risotto', without fish/seafood for anyone who fancies the idea but has problems with these ingredients. Prior warning and appropriate sized cooking vessel(s) needed if this is wanted.

Not going to be able to make this one after all, cost of three passports, travelling costs etc etc, on top of a wedding in April.
Hope you all have a super time.

Passports are getting VERY expensive. Mine needs renewing before Vinstock, but I had planned that anyway (in fact have the application form beside me right now) £77.50. plus photos is a lot to just issue a new one from 'this date onwards' for 10 years.
