  • I think Bean has the idea...

Today LadyWayne took Bean out early doors so that I could get on with some jobs around the house - hanging a mirror (that finally arrived from Next after the third attempt), fixing a kitchen cupboard door and taking in the Sainsburys shop amongst others.

Whilst out Bean apparently feel asleep in the car, and when he woke up LadyWayne said that they were coming back to help daddy.

"Help daddy. Dig 'tatoes?" was his reply

(he helped me dig up the rest of the potatoes several weeks ago now).

Good lad, I bet it's because it seems like magic to him finding all the little potatoes in the earth, it does me anyway!

I think my fellow plot holders might have thought I'd gone mad on he day I dug them with Bean. Everytime I dug/pulled a plant and the spuds were unearthed I shouted "LOOK! 'TATOES!" He would then shout "'TATOES!" He's at the stage now where he's copying words.

One of my winter tasks is to build him his own little raised beds so he can do whatever he wants with them.

He can operate a remote and switch off the bedside lights. I'm sure typing is next weeks discoverable task.
