Another Archers fan here. Mr HM claims never to listen to it, but if quizzed knows precisely what is going on.

The worst thing is when they put pictures of the 'actors' in the radio times or on TV. i've met Eddie & Joe Grundy (Eddie pretty much as I expected, but Joe just wasn't right!) and as for Debbie Archer - being a fan of Green Wing on TV, I just can't cope with the fact that Debbie and Dr Caroline Todd are the same person. Debbie 'looks' completely different!

For those of us who know that it's real, I suggest visiting the Archers Anarchists web site: http://www.archersanarchists.com/ - they view it as "...a real life fly-on-the-wall documentary about one of the strangest villages in England."

I'll have you know we are a good Roman Catholic school and not into voodoo.

OOh, not heard The Archers since I was about 10 and spending the school holidays at my grandparents - must admit thought it was a bit dull then but had a bit of a game with my grandad trying to work out what they were using for the various random noises eg the coconut shells for horse hooves etc - it wasn't much of a game even then! Mind you, remember my mum telling me that when she was at teacher training colleage back in the 50's, they all went down to tea one night in tears cos somebody had died so it must have been something then.
