Poor Truc

One of our cats has been missing since Saturday and we are all very worried. Her poor brother is very upset and needing lots of TLC and reassurance.
So far I have:
- Rung all the local vets and left details
- Rung the local cat rescue organisation
- Rung the microchipping company who have flagged her as missing on their system
- Made posters and had them put up in our local shops and the nearest petshop
- Made fliers and gone door to door on our road and the ones either side. Talking to people where possible and posting flyers where there was no answer.

Can anyone think of anything else we can do to find her?

Do you have a local paper with a Lost and Found column Incy? I do hope you find her soon.

I hate suggesting it but have you called the council?
That was how we found out Jasper had been run over

Oh dear- I know exactly how you feel- having 'lost' Hewie a few weeks back.

If she got lost on Saturday, I wonder if she's got locked inside someone's shed and as they've not been in it since the weekend they they won't have realised????

Worth going and knocking on doors and specifically asking them to check in their shed/garage.

I really hope you find her- if she has been locked in somewhere for a week , she'll still be OK...just need a lot of careful watering and feeding afterwards.

Wander round when it's really quiet calling/yelling her name and stop and listen.
We've had a couple of cats - one locked in a garage for 3 days about200 yds from our house ( OH heard a very faint cry when he called him) and one of our gals frequently fell asleep in a neighbours garage on some old rags- and they used to go away for a few days at a time locking her in without realising it.
We 'rescued' a cat a few years back. She'd been hanging round our back door for a week or so- and we'd put feed out for her. We finally managed to catch her- and take her to the vets to see if she'd been chipped. ..she hadn't , but one of the vets recognised her and called up the owners...she had gone missing several weeks earlier and got lost- wandering nearly half a mile
Lets hope some kind sole is feeding her for you!

Sounds like you've already done all the best stuff now just don't give up hope. Cat belonging to one of my friends disappeared last winter (and boy was it cold at the time) and was missing for a couple of months before being picked up by the Cats Protection and returned to them, very thin and matted but apart from that unhurt.

We've had a couple of possible sightings now from the posters so remain optimistic. we really miss her though so hope we find her soon. The flyer does say she loves sleping in GH's garages etc so we have ben asking people to look there for her.

Does Truc have a "second home"? Our old moggy Toby used to go to a house in the neighbouring street every Sunday - the old couple in the house used to feed him scraps of chicken

Ask your postman to look out for her. Go to your newsagents and ask him to alert the paper boys, offer them a reward for information leading to your cat's return. I did this when, many years ago one of my cats was missing. Paper boys and posties are out and about early in the morning when a timid cat would be more likely to show itself.
My cat was found after many days and not very far from home.
I hope yours will be found soon. I always say that cats are worse than teenagers. At least they can 'phone home when in trouble!!

Not that we are aware of. She normally spends most of the day asleep in the breakfast room near my OH.

Aahhhh, I hope you find your pet. Cant add to what you have done already and what has been advised above, but I do hope she turns up soon. Its very worrying when they go off like that, and especially worrying in the cold weather. I advocate Nicos suggestion that she may have accidentally got shut in someone's shed at the weekend. Please go round the locality and ask politely if they mind you just having a look in their sheds. People say they will look, but they may not always do it. While you are in each garden call the cats name. You might hear it meowing in a place backing onto the properties.
