  • Butternut squash

Does anyone know the proper translation of above vegetable in French?
Mme P is somewhat confused by the beast that is currently being made into soup in the kitchen, and I would love to tell her the French name for it.

Hmmm....not so sure cos I googled images and came up with this ...

        Résultats Google Recherche d'images correspondant à http://semences-graines-jardinage.com/catalog/images/courge_musquee_waltham.jpg

Any form of courgette/squash here seems to be called a courge
The musquee one came up as the first piccie too!

It's a 'foreign' one to them...so it's no chance of having a well known name!

Cheers all, she is none the wiser, but at least I managed to say it wizz a leetle beet of a Frunch accente.
The Waltham Butternut is the very one that's now in the oven, so very good use of the Satanic Search Engine Nicos.
