The gingerbread is iced with red fondant on the outside and ivory inside. The "basket weave" was just piped on with red writing icing. It does look a bit pink in the photo but I think that's something to do with the flash of the camera!When the Devil gives you Cowpats - make Satanic Compost!Comment

My chum has just started up her cake business [she makes fabulous cakes] and she's asked me to go and take photos of some of her creations - I'd love to get my hands on taking photos of yours.....so lovely!

Thanks all, It is quite a fun thing to do -working out the templates and construction - etc, and of course using fondant is like grown up plasticine.
I made the above gingerbread house last year - it raised over £100!!! - Took twenty packets of chocolate buttons to tile the roof!
