I think the question should be "What don't I want for Christmas" there's so much I'd like, but having been out of work for 18 months and only just getting back into work we're taking it easy this year. But that'll not stop me from writing a looooong list for santa

I have already got one of my presents early. A wooden potting bench that I spotted half price at the local garden centre, it was the last one so reduced to £19. I have asked for the new River Cottage hedgerow book, some scented candles and some perfume.

I have the RC Hedgrow book, its ok (particularly the recipe for dandelion marmalade ) but the 'Food For Free' book is much more comprehensive.

I'm a pain to buy for - as if I want something during the year I buy it.

However, with the invention of the internerd things have been made a little easier with the Amazon Wishlist facility.

Through the year if there's something I fancy I add it to my wishlist. It works for birthdays, Christmas and any other event that one fancies buying a gift for.

That way - it's easy for the person to buy a gift that I will like, and less likely that I end up going to see a Pink Floyd tribute act.

Yes I know its the thought that counts, but not a lot of thinking has gone on in the past.

As for what I want - well, I keep saving to buy a DSLR camera, but stuff keeps happening that chomps funds (exploding oven being the latest).

I've given myself my Xmas present, a new job starting on Jan 4th!!

Other than that my lot usually buy me something for my camera.
