I've bought MrPB a log chopping set (big chopper, a log splitter, and a bag to carry the logs into the house), and asked him to give me a set of cane supports for grow bags...oooh, and Kindle (yeah right - dream on PB )

my better half and I have a great system. We have agreed that it is pointless just giving presents for the sake of it and it is much nicer to get something we would like when we can think of something we need. If we haven't decided what we would like by xmas day, we exchange small gifts like books, sweets(I love jelly babies) and such like because it's nice to have parcels to open on the day and the main gift is covered by a letter of intent.
We also put clues on the gift tags as to the contents and try to guess what's in the parcels. Big kids eh.
We do the same at birthdays. I'm still carrying a letter of intent forward from my birthday but I've let her ladyship know I'd really like an led growlamp.
Fingers crossed santa will be listening if her ladyship doesn't come up with the goods.

Last year me and Mr Pots had a challenge to spend no more than £3 on 3 gifts for each other then stuff them in our stockings.
It was fun buying silly gifts I bought him some elastic bands, a magic set and a tin of sweets, mine were a blowing bubble gun, a Lego like car, and some rivets.
All the gifts got used and it was much more fun than racking our brains to buy something just for the sake of it.Location....East Midlands.

I want to be able to do 'pink' things with my 2 boys, I am sick sick sick of bl**dy trains, cars, guns, swords, fighting, starwars lego, Bob the Builder, Fifa football games on the wii and ninja bl**dy turtles.
So if anyone can supply me with some newborn pick for xmas I will be eternally grateful.
It's not much to ask - thanks

We are making some big home improvements,so this year I'm getting exactly what I wanted for the last few years. And I'm absolutely delighted.A wee thing like a pair of warm socks and a book-that's my OH and mine prezzies to each other this year.

Few of us NEED much (even things we can make good use of, we could manage well enough without). Thinks I 'want' are mainly books (I have updated my Amazon Wish List recently).
Big presents, no, not a lot of point, but a 'little something' to open, so we can each see the other's reaction, well it's nice ain't it?
If you fancy garden gadgets, why not say what you expect to make use of?Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

I then remarried and had a daughter yay pink, frilly, dolls, barbie, prams, cuddly toys. It was great. Now I have more girls with the boys GF's I love it, trouble is the girls end up with more than the boys cos they are so easy to buy for.
This year daughter has asked for black, purple, navy blue nail varnish, Florence and the machine stuff, Twighlight dvd, nothing pink or frilly. Well she is 14 now.Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
