Hi everyone,
I'm sitting here feeling a bit sorry for myself and feel I need you lot to cheer me up. On my birthday (6 weeks ago) I fell over on the way TO the restaurent, hurt my hip (not broken) and wrist (probably broken). To cut a long and tedious story short, my wrist is still immobilised and will be until 10th January.
Sunday morning I woke up around 6.30, so decided to leave OH to a lie in and go down to do some school work. It didn't quite work as planned. I slipped on the top step and went down like a toboggan rider, though a lot more bumpy. I was going so fast, and each step hit into my back, then I hit the wall at the bottom and was thrown around the curve, to end up on the middle landing floor.
I managed to NOT knock the broken wrist, but bouncing off the wall badly bruised my left ankle, albow and hip, besides the constant battering of my back. Poor OH was woken by the sound of Ann bouncing down the stairs, followed by a plaintive call for help.
On the brightside, nothing was broken, but I can't get out of bed, dress or wash without help. Yesterday I spent laying down, reading, but today I'm propped up in a chair in the bedroom, hoping the computer will provide some interest. I might even do some work, but concentrating, and one handed typing isn't going to be easy.
I'm dreading going back into work too, they all think I'm dreadfully accident prone, and this will just confirm it.
