What a nightmare time you are having Ann. Boring being laid up, can you invite freinds round for a coffee, they make the coffee and bring the cake. That will take up some of your time. Is it your writing hand, if not I supposoe you have written your christmas cards. Lots of rest, lots of hugs hope you are on the mend soon.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate your good wishes. Yesterday I asked my year 11s to email me with a list of what they had achieved in the lesson. This was one I received, shame he can't put as much effort into his coursework!
· Solved world poverty
· Caught an international drug dealer
· Assassinated a dictator of a communist country
· Saved a colony of whales
· Donated millions too Africa
· Become the world record holder for the largest ever cake eaten
I hate having to try to think of what I can set for cover. It has to be something that a learning manager can cope with, which as all my year 8s are currently developing their website means I have to think of something else for them! We get into such trouble if we don't send something inI could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

You poor thing! Hope you recover soon.
I know what you mean about clumsy. I once slipped on one stair as I bounced down enthusiastically and landed (fortunately) just above my coccsyx. The bruise was massiveand after changing through various colours went extremely hard and hot. I didn't know that bruises can get infected. I am a lot more careful on the stairs now, especially when I can't see my feet.

You poor thing! I hope you're on the mend soon. (Your year 11 lad made me smile).I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Loads of sympathy coming from me... I know what its like to be accident prone .Although I've never broken anything , I've had to put up with a lot of mickey taking over the years. I did the toboggan run twice when I was preggers luckily to no ill effect, but the most embarrassing has to be in the middle of a busy shopping street going face first on the pavement and having to be sat on a chair in the street while they called an ambulance ....
Hope you're feeling better soon ....<<<hugs>>>S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig
a batch of jam is always an act of creation ..Christine Ferber

Ouch! Loads of sympathy, I've also done the toboggan run myself - apparently I shouted 'ow' as I hit each step all the way down and it did result in a lot of bruises and a couple of days where I could hardly move - used loads of Arnica! Hope it eases soon Barley Sugar xLife is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!

I hope it hurts a bit less today!!! Would some gentle movement help? I think that too often when we hurt, we forget that it's really important to get things moving to avoid stiffness. We can become over-protective.
