I've dropped out of GO/HSL this year, I've been in France too long now and needed to get into one of the French groups so have joined Kokopelli, bought their encyclopaedic book (big, heavy, expensive but brilliant) with a dozen packets of free seeds, have bought some more of their seeds and have joined their seed guardianship scheme, tho they call if being a 'godfather'.

Different approach to the whole thing because French associations can't operate the same way as UK ones can but great seeds, freebies too.

I'm not doing beans this year - tho I will be sending surplus from last year back to HSL and sharing some with Kokopelli - but am specialising in tomatoes, peppers and chillis cos they all grow like weeds in my garden.

Mine's still not arrived but have now communicated with a nice lady who has sent me another one out today - just hope that there is something left of at least some of things I want

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Thanks Poly, that gives me hope . Does make you wonder how much stuff does go missing that you never find out about though. The only things I KNOW I'm missing are the HSL cat and an Amazon order but there's probably more. My mum crosses people off her Christmas card list the first year she doesn't get a card so has probably offended loads of people over the years

Bilbo Waggins from Cumbria has also had her catalogue - I 'talk to her' more on email than I do here!

OH has rung me to tell me that I have correspondence from HSL and an Amazon parcel today so will be looking through as soon as I get home . Will be devastated if it's a begging letter!
