I do try my best to be a big brave girl.

Yes hairdressers too. I hate them, I usually just hack at my own fringe with scissors. It's the fake-friendly chatting about your holidays, and being looked at (I hate being the centre of attention, that's why I can't speak in front of a group). I don't even mind doctors and dentists: I'd take a smear test over a seminar any day

I am with TS on speaking to a group of people.

I avoid training sessions like the plague, "please stand up in turn, tell us your name and bit about yourself " !!!!

The blood drains from my body every time.

You hit the nail on the head there Sarzwix. Indeed the very thought of being enclosed (even in a cuddle) makes me take a very deep breath.

Confined spaces - hate them, have been known to get out of a lift and take the stairs up when too many people got in. Don't like having personal space invaded either.

Speaking in front of a group - which is not good as my module 2 assessment is a 15 minute presentation

Having my photograph taken, the creeping death in seminars (who cares what my favourite music is!) and parties (torture at this time of year).

So many things in my 'new' life have been outside my comfort zone. But the last really stomach churning time, London Underground at 5pm with a massive rucksack and 2.5 yr old.

Dunno really. Obviously losing any of my loved ones (OH, friends and family) would greatly change / shatter my life but not sure if that's a comfort zone thing if they're torn from you. Never been one for comfort blankets and the like so OK there. Speaking to people or going to new places doesn't bother me at all usually so suppose the nearest anybody has said to something I wouldn't do is high heels, tall enough already, they never look comfy and I'd only fall off them

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I haven't been on a plane for twenty odd years because I suddenly started feeling trapped at the thought of not being able to get off, not worried about crashing or anything just about not being able to open the door & leave!

I have to agree with Jeanied, I have been very much out of my comfort zone for a long time now. However, if I had to put something it would be birds.
