For a couple of months there has been much discussion about wormeries in cold weather. Well, after almost 3 weeks of sub zero days and nights, i decided to check mine and they are fine with 100s of nice wriggly red worms.
I drained off the excess liquid, forked bottom to top, gave em a bucket of kitchen scarps to keep em going through this next cold snap, covered them with a potato sack and put the lid 9/10th on, leaving a small air gap.
I will do the same again in the next thaw.
How are others doing?
Roger
