Wedding gift from a friend was a mornings skid pan training. Sliding cars around on over inflated bald tyres, great fun!

Now THAT is really useful - no, seriously, it is.
There are loads of peeps round here who use chainsaws and we have all sorts of equipment here that might cause a bit of bleeding My friend's husband managed to cut the top of his finger off not so long ago and could have done with something like this.
As for unusual presents, nope, can't think of anything but I think I might go and have a look now!

My teacher thought her Secret Santa present was unusual today, in the staffroom. We all had to open them on the 1-2-3

I was watching out of the corner of my eye. She opened the gift bag, and pulled out a B&Q box: a ceiling light. I could tell by her puzzled expression that she was, well, puzzled. Being too polite to say anything, she quietly pushed it back in the bag.

I nudged the other TA next to me, and said "what did Sarah get?" a bit loud like.

The penny didn't drop.

So I said "are you sure it's a light, seems a bit funny...?"

Then blushing furiously and with all 18 staff now watching her, she finally opened the B&Q box to find all sorts of nice things tucked inside in shredded paper. We did larf

I have bought my bachelor grandson 2 prime peices of rump steak.

I usually buy Mr TS a box full of Pot Noodles (he's not normally 'allowed' them, because he's 'on a diet')

No 1 son usually gets me a bale of compost. This year I have a bag of chocolate coated ginger, a sack of straw for the guineapig bedding, and a present I have been told not to open till Xmas Day.

I once received a stainless steel gravy boat..........use it to put bread sauce in at christmas, not big enough for the amount of gravy we consume..Not sure whether thats unusual or unusable.....

For my 40th birthday Madmax took me to Amsterdam to choose a diamond for an engagement ring (we had been married some 15 years but had never been engaged). His mother, however, decided an appropriate gift was a stainless steel roast tray with spikes on it
