Yup, I'm voting for The Pogues as well, just brilliant!!

However, for family reasons I also laugh out loud and think of Christmas stuff whenever I hear "Mistletoe and Wine" by Sir Cliff. Dreadful song, but my daughters innocent version of his lyrics still make me chuckle, in fact, as I am doing, right now.

Pogues here too. Miserable so & sos at Sainsburys have left it off the music compilation this year after 'several complaints' by customers.

Yet another vote for Shane and Kirsty

I also love Chris Rea's 'Driving Home For Christmas' and Wham's 'Last Christmas' (hey, I'm a child of the 80's and that was THE bittersweet heartbreak song of my sixth form years! ).
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Another 'Fairy Tale of New York', here/ Jethro Tull: 'A Christmas Song?'

Traditional: 'Coventry Carol' or 'Gaudete' by Steeleye Span'!

Slade, Merry Christmas. We have been playing it every Christmas morning since our kids were really young and it still brings back very happy memories.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

That is class. Had my son and I laughing out loud. Santa's expression during the reindeer solo is just classic
