Anyone ofound a cheap alternative for a hamper container? Small cardboard box lined with bonny paper and straw any good?

I got hold of a load of expensive looking flower baskets which had had Interflora type arrangements into them from freecycle and my family return them to me after Christmas for a refill

Freecycle/Freegle is a great place to look for containers, boxes and baskets. If you don't already belong, join up and post a request to your area. Wonderful way to get things you need and get rid of things you don't.

I've sourced my pressies from both highstreet and charity shops. We don't bother with wrappings amongst ourselves and reserve this for 'outside' recipients.

Many items from charity shops are unwanted gifts and bang spanking new at ridiculously give-away prices - everyone wins here!

Home-made not really for my sphere of recipients at the moment - but in future years I'm sure they'll find a place.

Just been to my Sons for Boxing day and he showed me a hamper he got off his boss.
All the stuff was mass produced and must have cost a fortune. I checked everything, and everything could have been home made quite cheaply.
Majority of it was stuff I've made throughout the year anyway!
