Hope everybody had a Merry Christmas and that you're all heading for a very Happy New Year.

Thank you Secret Santa for the smart pen set I received. That and some stationery I received lead me to think that Someone Up There is hinting that I should catch up on my letter writing!

Merry Christmas, sorry it is late as only got back today! Thank you to my SS who sent me a mug with a lid which I have to say is a genius way of stopping me getting compost and soil in my tea while I am planting (also will keep my cats nose out of my tea for once!!!)

I hope everyone got everything they wanted my OH went over the top as usual and my family is massive so probably would take me a long time to say all that I got. Do have to say that I am very much impressed by one of my brothers who got me a Japanese food gift box
My very pink Blog about food and...more food

Thank you to my Secret Santa - I got a delightful book called Lamberts Railway Miscellany...

I was covered in books for Christmas (better than any computer games and gizmos) and this little book has added to my reading pleasure.

          Thank you Secret Santa!

Thank you to my SS for the wonderful calendar that I shall take to work to remind me of what I would rather be doing.

Thank you to my Secret Santa!! I got a Gardener's card game and a super wellie boot keyring!!

Main main present request was for a 'Kindle' ebook. What I got was a tablet PC that doesn't run on Windows...it wasn't what I wanted...I tried to like it...after half an hour MrPB said 'You don't like it do you?'...I looked at him...and he said 'Thank goodness! I hate it too!!'...and I burst into tears

Dear SS thanks for my lovely mug, seed box and yum yum choccies. I've shared the chocs with my little'un (not a remotely fair share on my side though) and I've got my first lot of seeds sitting in the box ready for when the ground defrosts a little.

To my SS, (I think) who was so secret he didnt even say it was from him/her.
Many thanks, I got some rather posh shaving gel (well researched, I dont use foam,) some posh mouth wash (makes me think this person knows me quite well) and a little green book, which is little, and green in both senses of the word. I shall read it over the next couple of days.
If this wasnt my SS then I dont know who it could have been.

Dear Secret Santa, thank you so much for my very thoughtful gift - you've been very vigilant and noticed how I love showing off picturegraphs of my family, and my love of t-shirts - and combined the two with a t-shirt displaying a photo of the Family Wayne on our holiday in Beer last year (which we're repeating this year). I was genuinely touched, thank you.

Been a busy one for us. We had 8 (plus Bean) for dinner on Christmas Day, and then 6 (plus Bean and Baby Alice - Beans 12 week old cousin) on Boxing Day.

I did all the cooking on both days on account that LadyWayne had a cold (which Bean and I now have). Cooked a turkey "butt" (as described by our butcher), and I have to say it's the way forward for us - absolutely no waste at all, succulent, tender and juicy. Lush.

Oh, and we only had our oven just about a week on account of the previous one blowing up a few weeks ago (but we did a "trial run" cooking for ten the week before Christmas just to get our eye in).

Hope you all had a great festive season, and hope 2011 is a great year for you all.

                        Much love, the Family Wayne

Thank you secret Santa - you must know me, I'm left handed (ie clumsy) and forever burning my hands getting stuff out of the oven with a tea towel.

The ginger beer kit was spot on - I've recently taken up brewing things and ginger beer particularly reminds me of my mum whom I've lost recently. I was also invaded by my teenage son's friends over christmas who left their lergy so I can't wait for the beer to do! There's yeast to be added so maybe it's even a little bit naughty (hopefully) as the lergy has forced me to be very very good this season

My big present is a trip to the sales for a secret present that I don't want my 8yr virus ridden computer to know about.........
