Merry Christmas to everyone. We had the latest start here since our first born arrived 22 years ago. I was the first awake at 7.50 Kissykit and Son No2 offered to cook dinner, so they have the kitchen well in hand, and I'm feeling strangely redundant, although they have said they will be calling for advice.
Thanks to Secret Santa for my book on how to wage war (on slugs). I also had a certificate for 8 hours gardening time, a tin of string (in the hopes it will be harder to lose than the ball that never seems to be where I left it), books, munchies, wine and a mouse (computer variety).
Not much home grown for dinner, some roast parsnips, winter squash and herbs in the stuffing.
      Have a great day everyone

I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Thank you to my secret Santa for the lovely snuggly gloves - the long cuffs will certainly keep the winter chill out.

Santa has asked me to wish you all a very Merry Christmas; unfortunately, as usual, he's forgotten to sort his own pressie out and is suffering from defective magical communication tools (the laptop has a broken hard-drive )

Everyone went home at 5, washing up completed at 6.45 Shattered. Thanks very much Secret Santa for the M&S chocolates. Merry Christmas everyone. Himself is boring me stiff with re-runs of On The Buses.

                      Merry Christmas Everyone.
My day started at 7.30 when I bounced on my hungover sons bed wielding his Christmas stocking yelling "It's Christmas"
Waited a long time to do that

Thanks so much to my Secret Santa, I got some terrific bean and mange tout seeds, a diary and a bag to hold it all in. Lovely pressie and much appreciated.

Got some books to read, a pair of earrings and a food mixer and a few other little bits and pieces and have had a lovely day with OH and kids at my MIL's with his brother and family too.
Hope all of you had a lovely Christmas Day, however you chose to spend it. I'm spending tomorrow in me jammies, doing very little

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas!
Thank you so much to my SS - who went seriously over budget - with Bob Flowerdew's Grow your own eat your own book. It's really great, I am looking forward to reading it later!

Got an Almond tree and 3 foodie hampers from the OH, one in a new log basket, and in a lovely wooden trug and in a sewing box.
Feeling a bit delicate as I stayed up too late chatting and losing badly at Trivial Pursuits...

Merry Christmas everyone!!! (I was literally up to my elbows in turkey yesterday, so wasn't online!)

Thank you so much to my Secret Santa. Lovely scarf and gloves to keep me warm in the (still) snowy outdoors, and I'm particularly looking forward to the tomato chutney, and the blackberry vodka is hidden in case OH fancies beating me to it. It will be my wee treat tonight

Hope everyone is healthy and happy x
