Unusual place names

There's a place in The Peak district ( 2 houses & a V.good pub) called Flash it's on top of a hill ( Flash Hill & just below it is .... Flash Bottom

I know of a place in Cumbria called seldom seen and on near Bristol called Peasdown St. John and finally Evenjobb in wales ( I guess Odjobb came from just down the road

Place near Harlow called Ugley which has a Women's Institute called... you've got it... Ugley Women's Institute.

Yes it used to get a weekly entry in the Clubs and Societies Roundup in our local paper.

We also have:

"Brent Pelham" the 1960's actor.
"Stocking Pelham"
"Cold Christmas"
"Good Easter"

Three I like in Yorkshire are:
"Middlemoor" which is exactly as it says on the tin.
"Glasshouses"
and last but by no means least
"Blubberhouses"

Oh, just remembered some quaint Shropshire villages near a friend's house - Clun, Clunton, Clungunford, and Beguildy.

There's a village called 'No Place' just down the road!
And another called 'Quaking Houses'

I lived in Poland for a few years - my favourite place names were 'Lazy', 'Hel' and 'Sztuk' !

There is also a place near Guildford called Donkey Town.
