I've ordered mine from Tattieman for delivery early next year and intend to put some early earlies in the polytunnel but my main ones won't go in the ground until much later.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I got my seed potatoes today; Sharpe's Express which I've never tried before, Charlotte and Desiree, another new variety for me. I've given up on Rooster as they never grow to a decent size in my growbags.

Not planning on planting until March at the earliest.

Sharpe's Express is a really old variety and an excellent second early. The flesh of the potato has a yellow tinge to it and it is a decent cropper.

Thanks Aberdeenplotter, that's good to know... I'd never heard of it before and went for it purely because it was described as a good all rounder.

It is too early for me.

I had bought some in January before and they just end up sprouting very long shoots which would inevitably get broken in the transporting to the allotment process.

            I'll get some in Feb.
