Are you sure you aren't really called Janet and live in Leeds?

Do you plant your plants in alphabetical order?

I just made these jolly ones for school:

          - Wilko wooden spatula, 28p
          - Wilko coloured lolly sticks, 80p for loads
          - Sharpie marker, acrylic or gouache paints
          - PVA glue
          - yacht varnish to waterproof them

Two Sheds, they are brilliant. Just love the spatulas.
Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you are probably right.

I can't remember were, but saw someone using really thin copper.
Righting on it with a biro and it engraves what you right through the copper.

I see a few problems with this..
I am sure Plants don't like copper? (Nor do slugs )
Whatever you right will be permanent.
Don't know were to buy, and even if I did, bet they cost loads.

I'm using the cut up plastic 2L milk bottles for now with a slim permanent marker. By the time the plants go on my lottie I will only use one of the labels on site and if it blows away it won't matter because I will have made a note of what I've planted where in my journal.

                    Well that's the theory.

I also love the yacht varnish ones. Might do that as a project with my wee one for my herbs!

TS they're brilliant, I bet they look great in your beds and containers. Will use the idea for my youngest GG who always has containers of veg and herbs at my house.

Wilkos and if you grow the same varieties year in - they are long lasting and reusable.

I use old lolly sticks for pots and mark up each side placing one side flush against the container so that it doesn't become sun-bleached.
