making slippers

Does anyone make slippers on here? I want to make a pair for hubby as he has trouble with getting slippers to fit. Where can I buy the soles etc?

Thanks jeanied, I have found patterns to make them but they werent waterproof. I have seen the shoegoo stuff but didnt know if it would work how I wanted it to. So thats really helpful

In developing countries they make shoes out of old tyres ... I've often considered stitching my old bike tyres into slippers, but never got round to it
