I intend losing two stone but haven't set a deadline.

I will buy some scales soon and after I publish my start weight will check it fortnightly on a Sunday.
I hope to lose the weight by a variation of the Atkins diet which has worked for me in the past and made me feel a lot better.

I will try and forgo Pasta,Bread, Potatoes pastries and biscuits.

My jeans still fit me but cripple me when I try to bend down. Rather than buy a bigger size of jean I have resorted to wearing jogging trousers with elasticated tops.
Look forward to wearing the many pairs of jeans I possess again.

I do a pretty strenuos job and I'm reasonably fit so don't intend doing any more excercise than my normal DIY,Cycling and allotment work.
I'll see how it goes and might have another go at the Great North Run with my two sons if they are doing it this year which will entail a bit of jogging/training though.

Lots of weights here - does anyone look at BMI?

        I'm 5' 7" & 159lbs

I'm 24.9 which apparently bang on the top limit for 'normal weight'.

I'm still benefitting from changing my food & drink portion sizes...hopefully I will continue to lose a bit more weight after Christmas changed my eating pattern!

My target is to lose 2 stone by 23/7. Weigh in day will be Tuesday. Strategy more exercise (hopefully new allotment included) and follow Weight Watchers plan properly (do not ignore nibbles in the kitchen when cooking meals).
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

              Bramble here.
I need to loose at least 1 stone by the beginning of May.
I will not be going on a diet but will be cutting out cheese (as this is my weakness)
I will walk more often and when the weather is too bad to get out I WILL use my treadmill which is now beginning to get a bit dusty from lack of use.
I will also cut down on portion size by using a smaller plate.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                  Hello.

I have to lose about 4.5 stone to get to the upper limit of my 'healthy weight range'. I have no time limit to do this, as I know that the faster you lose it, the more likely you are to regain it later.

I aim to do this by following my old WW point plan, walking a minimum of 14 miles a week, changing my walking routes to include more hills, and possibly joining a gym if finances permit. Also, by not forgetting to take my thyroxine, or forgetting to renew the prescription...

Weigh in TBC as I don't actually own any scales at the moment...

I'm Jeanie and I'm not 'fessing up how much I need to lose. Needless to say it is a lot!
However I did lose 2lbs over Xmas (stress) and I hope to continue to add to the pounds off each week over the whole of 2011.
Weightwatchers on Tuesday nights, more time on the lottie and walking to the shops, not driving, will help!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Okay in with the heavyweight section here.

I need to loose 5 stones ASAP!

I am going to do the Cambridge diet which has pretty fast results to start. So I aim to loose three stones by end of March.

I need to be referred for IVF so need to get my BMI under 30 (max limit). At the mo its 40! So I need to drop 10 points as quickly as possible! Im 36 so time is of the essence. I believe the cut off time for referral on the NHS is your 37th birthday. (September)....

Anyway I will need all of the help I can get Here goes!

I think that I will be weighing in on Tuesdays.

                      Good luck everybod!

I intend to do this by following Slimming World plan Red day and Green Day - this worked for me about 3 years ago.

                          Shelley here...

Currently weighing in at 13st 2lbs (having lost 5lbs over xmas from being ill)
Would like to lose a stone. No time limit, as, like Sarz, I know that if you lose slowly, you're less likely to put it back on.

BMI of about 30 so would just like to get that down a little. Clothes size is 18+; would be happy in a 16 really.

Also doing Slimming World (but an online member, not group), as I am happy with Red/Green days.

                          Weighing in Tuesdays

As a great start to my weight loss, I am currently sick.

As soon as I'm more with it - I'll add everyone to the list.

If I can be arsed I'll go through the thread and make a speadsheet of everyones name who's up-for-it,start weight, weigh in day, with blank spaces for weights to be added.
                              A bit of inspiration.............hopefully!

Are we weighing in weekly, fortnightly (I think best) or monthly?

I like to lose the weight I put on when I stopped smoking and left work, I lost a stone on the lottie last year but It seems I've found most of it over Christmas,

I'm going to swim at least a mile a week and I'm going to ride my bike at least twice a week 10 miles x 2 and I'm thinking of using the gym at the Leisure Centre, its got to be done.
Smaller food portions try and not eat so much bread and cheese cut the beer out for a bit and then cut down again.

My weigh day will be every other Sunday (fortnightly)
