Bulk lavender flowers???

We had lavender flowers and delphinium flowers which we mixed for confetti. We had about 200g of lavender and 2 ltr of delphinium, which did 20 bags and then had about the same over again. All from ebay.

I warn you if you use it as confetti and it is thrown, it will get into places you don't want it to go. Everytime I went to the loo on the day I left a pile in the stall a trail of petals all round the hotel. Very pretty, biodegrable but itchy.

Also - if used as confetti and its a wet day...mind to petals dont stain dresses or worse the Brides beautiful dress!

My daughter had sugared almonds wrapped up in little net bags with string tied round them and a personal note of thanks, date, etc wrapped inside them. Seemed to go down very well.
Also had a disposable camara on each table for guests to take pics. When she had them all developed there were some lovely and some very funny reminders of her special day.

I like the idea of the disposable cameras!!!

At a French wedding we went to we were all asked to write a short message to the bride and groom on a small piece of paper and then folded up.
The papers were to be opened one a day for as many days as they lasted.

I think that's a rather lovely way to start married life together...a good will/friendly message to start the day!
Perhaps I could offer a 'favour' in exchange for a 'message'??

My sister had an informal photograph taken of her and her (now) husband with a big white border around and and everyone who was there was invited to write on it with their name, and my Nephew had a book that was signed by everyone there and, as the evening went on the comments became very funny indeed!
