ERM - I'm that sad ole git matey!!

Yep, really - I've removed (am still removing) myself from the Communicator/Treo/iPod world which I have been in since 1997 and moved back (over to) paper.

Mind you, it is a real lush brown leather filo

I'm not sure if it's a timetable you need, or just to knuckle down and get on with it.
Don't let yourself have any "fun" time until you've done an hour or two of college work?

          You're definitely right there!

I haven't managed to get back into serious 'work-mode' since I was ill over the summer Having been put on thyroxine, I'm managing to get a lot more done in the house etc., but I just can't get down to studying with any conviction. And like I said, my day has no structure to it, so I think that might help - if you go to work, you have a set start and finish time, and I think (hope!) that might help to concentrate the mind a bit...

ETA: Thanks Incy, I'll have a look at that later

I get a diary every year and everything goes in it. If I have stuff like essays to write or studying to be done, I do write up and use study plans or it just won't all get packed in.

We all have different ways of doing things, but the electronic ways just don't work with me, I need to doodle whilst I ponder what and how I'm going to do stuff, so paper-based it is.

I don't know if this helps but when I ran a small business from home I really struggled to get stuff done. I dealt with it by getting up at a set time and setting the timer for 1 hour. During this time I had to have breakfast, wash up, put laundry on and all the little 'bits' that needed doing. When the timer went I stopped what I was doing immediately(if safe to do so ) and went to the workshop, setting the timer for a coffee break after an hour etc. and so on throughout the day. It didn't mean I always got everything done but it helped me focus more

Try this - Outlook is usually part of Office Suite - it is a diary tool rather than an email client so you should have it already. However, if you don't, this might be worth a try.

Sorry can't get the hyperlink tool to work sensibly. Copy and paste into address box?

Aha - it has worked - on preview it wasn't WYSIWYG. :-)

I agree with that - I've always been electronic but the new paper-based me is feeling much freer somehow, so paper-based I shall be

Microsoft Outlook has always been and always will be primarily an email client, (Microsoft like to refer to it as a PIM Personal Information Manager)it has never been free apart from Outlook 98 when it was offered as a free upgrade to bona fide Outlook 97 users, you maybe confusing Microsft Outlook with Microsoft Outlook Express which was/is bundled with Microsoft Windows Operating systems.

PS You could also get Outlook client licenses (and the Outlook installer) on earlier version of Small Business Server 2000 and 2003 IIRC.
