  • National Garden Gift Vouchers

Hiya everyone, I know I have'nt posted in a bit but sometimes life gets in the way of the nice stuff, I have been popping in and reading when I can.

Some lovely person sent us some national garden gift vouchers for xmas and I thought that I would redeem them online but after and exhaustive google search there doesn't seem to be anywhere online that takes them. Tho there are plenty of places that will sell you them.

Does anyone know of anywhere online that takes them ?? Sort of had my heart set on a patio sweet cherry tree.

I could go to a garden centre but it means bringing it back on the bus now that we don't have a car anymore, and some bus driver's are'nt too happy if you try to bring on something bigger than yourself.

Hope you all had a good xmas and new year.

I've only ever redeemed them in the garden centres, sorry

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

We sell them at work and as far as I know you can't redeem them on line.
If you are spending a bit why not ask if the GC can deliver?

Ah, right, I thort I was having a senior moment then being unable to find anything.
I had'nt considered getting the garden centre to deliver, I'll have a look into that, maybe that's the solution.
        Thanks for the replies.

Just make sure they have been stamped on the back!!.....we bought our very kind cat sitter some Nat. Garden Gift Vouchers for Christmas last year. She went to redeem them against some plants and they refused to take them as they had not been stamped on the back by the place of purchase (a local garden centre)
Luckily we had a cc receipt and the well known (in our area) garden centre - with great reluctance sorted it out for us - phew as it really was quite a few pennies.....be warned!

I recently asked about them - they used to expire after 6 years, but now they're pretty much indefinite. So I was glad about that, as i've quite a lot of vouchers now and can't seem to get through them.

Just checked them and phew they have been stamped. I didn't know they were on an indefinate time limit, that's good I might hang on to them for a bit.

Thanks for all the good info guys, I knew I could count on you to advise.

You could also check out if any of the nurseries accept them as payment via mail-order (as in 'snail mail')? I know ordering by post has gone a bit out of fashion, but it might be a way to use your vouchers.
